Initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on Friday, March 8^th, this nationwide blood donation campaign is meant to give a boost to our country’s blood banking system, to meet the increasing need for blood transfusion and to inculcate in Moroccans a culture of solidarity and citizenship.

‘Marrakech Scoop’,   the recent scandal that has been on everyone’s tongue  in Marrakech and nationwide, has   sent shockwaves across the country and has alarmed many of us to the threat that cybercrime poses nowadays  to our children , to their reputation,  to their privacy and eventually to their whole life. The failed suicide attempt by that poor mother who sadly found out about her daughter’s   nude pictures on the web shows just how a bunch of reckless, pervert and irresponsible geeks can turn other people’s life into hell by perpetrating such outrageous acts online. Hacking, cracking, spying,  child pornography, interception of private and confidential data, all these have pervaded over the last decade in the cyber community , raising thereby concerns about online security and worrying parents  about their children’s safety.

The Moroccan Ministry of Communication organised a study day on the electronic press Saturday (March 10th) in Rabat in order to modernise the sector and to build a legal framework.
